Handmade Oilcloth Bags
Knowing the story behind where your gear comes from, helps you place more value on it.

Pemberton Bag Company is about sustainability, ethically sourced materials and supporting small businesses.
Our bags are made in small batches, in Pemberton, BC, by owner, designer and maker Nina Babiuk.
With a love of the outdoors and inclement weather, I wanted to make bags that were stylish yet could withstand the elements. All my bags are made from ethical and sustainable oilcloth, in one of the oldest continuous running factories in Scotland. Stemmed from making fabric for Scottish fisherman. Oilcloth is the original outdoor fabric.
Pemberton Bag Company bags are made for everyday life & adventures.
I am a Zoologist by University Degree.
For most of my life in the Tropics and worked on the Great Barrier Reef. My passion for the environment steams from a childhood growing up between North Queensland, Australia, and Whistler, Canada. I have always made stuff, it’s in my blood. Bags are an item we all use, I wanted to steer away from the mainstream use of tech fabrics, made from plastics, and find a better alternative. Better for you and better for the environment.
